Bio
HIGH SCHOOL: Phillips averaged four pancake tackles a game for Tyler Vann at Scottsboro High School. He helped the Wildcats to a region title and a state semifinal appearance. Phillips also played basketball and averaged eight boards a game. He was an all-region selection for hoops.
PERSONAL: The son of Amanda Philips, he plans to study criminal justice at Carson-Newman.
