ORLANDO, Fla. – Five Carson-Newman beach volleyball student-athletes have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon. Camryn Ehlers, Kylee Oldenburger, Trinity Hafey, Paige Halcrow, and Kat Nelson earned the prestigious honor, which recognizes top student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and in athletic competition.
The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Camryn Ehlers (Dagsboro, Del.) earns her first CSC Academic All-District selection. In addition to her academic achievements, Ehlers secured two SACC Pair of the Week honors in 2025 and played a key role in helping the Eagles capture their first SACC Conference Championship.
"Camryn has a great work ethic and passion for her studies and excels," said head coach Cat Collins.
Kylee Oldenburger (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), a graduate student, exemplified what it means to be a student-athlete in 2025.
"Kylee is such a hard worker," Collins said. "She constantly pushes herself to be the best at all she does."
Trinity Hafey (Grand Junction, Colo.) was pivotal to the Eagles' historic 2025 season. She earned the AVCA Top Flight Award alongside partner Kylee Oldenburger for the Threes pair. Earlier in the season, she also received a Pair of the Week honor with partner Emerson Ahsmuhs.
"Trinity is always striving to be better in all she does," said Collins. "She works hard in the classroom and on the court."
Paige Halcrow (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) had a standout 2025 season. Alongside her partner Jenny Ille, Halcrow anchored the Ones pair. The duo was named the SACC Pair to Watch entering the season and later earned SACC All-Conference Pair honors.
"Paige does a great job managing so many different roles," Collins noted. "She wants the best for everyone and has a great work ethic in the classroom and on the court."
Kat Nelson (Sioux Falls, S.D.) receives CSC Academic All-District recognition for the second consecutive year. In addition to her contributions to Carson-Newman's first SACC Championship, Nelson was named SAC Academic Excellence Award Co-Winner and SAC Beach Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
"Kat has one of the greatest work ethics," said Collins. "She is always striving to be the best in all she does and pushes all her teammates around her."
