Wynter Morris

Bio

2025: In her sophomore season, Morris appeared in limited fashion, playing in just 20 games with eight starts, all being as a designated hitter. In 35 at-bats, she racked up nine hits for a .257 average, with one double, a home run and drove in 10 runs. Her round-tripper came in the second game of the year at Concord (Feb. 2), where she went 2-for-3 with a career-high 5 RBIs. She added another two-hit game against USC Aiken (Feb. 14).

2024: Morris appeared in 25 games with 18 starts split between first, third and DP.  She batted .255 with 13 hits in 51 trips to the plate.  Morris tallied two doubles, a triple and a home run.  She hit her lone long ball against Milligan (Apr. 16).  Morris drove in 11 runs on the year, with multi-RBI days against Concord (Feb. 25), Wheeling (Mar. 10) and Milligan (Apri. 16).  She had two multi-hit efforts on the year, both against the Buffs.  

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time team MVP at Western Abermarle for coch Eric Keshin, Morris has hit no worse than .546 in her high school career.  As a junior, she led her district in home runs, RBI and batting average.  She has earned all-district honors every year of her career, including as an eighth grader. 

PERSONAL: The daughter of Lauren and George Morris.  She plans to study business and interior design at Carson-Newman. She comes from an athletic family.  Her oldest brother Parker played baseball at Cornell.  Her older sister Carter played softball at Christopher Newport.  Meanwhile, another older brother Tanner, played baseball at Virginia before being drafted in the fifth round by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019.
