Current activities/interests outside tennis (intramurals, clubs, academic organizations, church, employment, etc. ): intramural sports, running, swimming, triathlons; clubs/organizations – Best Buddies, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, International Club; volunteer work at Appalachian Outreach; employed as a swim coach by the Jefferson City Swim Club.
Most influential person/people or experience in your growth as a person and why: my family because they challenge me to be a better person and they are never shy about pointing out my mistakes.
Most influential person/people or experience in your growth as a tennis player and why: My high school tennis coach taught me how to play when I was a sophomore. I had never played before and thus was behind everyone else. He had to teach me everything I should know for tournaments and college tennis in a few short years.
