ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman’s Stefy Stand has earned first team all-SAC honors in her junior season with the Eagles. Stand is Carson-Newman’s first first-team all-conference selection since Amanda Bartlett and Elizabeth Sneed were tabbed for the same honors in 2010.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (8-12, 2-7 SAC) dropped a hard-fought match to Mars Hill (2-12, 2-7 SAC) Sunday afternoon 5-4.
BREVARD, N.C. – Carson-Newman (8-11, 2-6 SAC) lost to Brevard (5-12, 3-6 SAC) on the road Friday afternoon 4-5.
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. â Carson-Newman (8-10) fell to the University of Cumberlands (5-5) 7-2 Tuesday afternoon in Williamsburg, Ky.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. ââ¬â Carson-Newman (8-7, 2-5 SAC) brought home its second conference victory with a win against Lincoln Memorial (5-7, 3-4 SAC) Sunday afternoon at the Carson-Newman Tennis Complex. The Eagles have now won four of their last six to garner a winning record for the year.
GREENVILLE, Tenn. â Carson-Newman (7-9, 1-5 SAC) lost 7-2 to Tusculum (13-3, 5-1 SAC) on the road on Saturday afternoon.
WOODSTOCK, Ga. – Carson-Newman (7-8) fell at North Georgia (7-10) bringing its streak of three consecutive wins to an end with an 8-1 loss.
HICKORY, N.C. – Carson-Newman (7-7, 1-4 South Atlantic Conference) beat Lenoir Rhyne (0-11) 7-2 on the road to bring home its first conference win and secure a three-game win streak on Monday afternoon.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (6-7) ran through Covenant College (1-8) 9-0 in Chattanooga on Friday afternoon.
TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Carson-Newman (5-7) brought home a 5-4 win after travelling to North Greenville University (2-8) Wednesday afternoon.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Jen Ott (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Haleigh Chastain (Knoxville, Tenn.) pulled out a 9-8 (10-5) win at no. 2 doubles to salvage the point over Tara Lamers and Ariel Strong.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Trailing 4-1 in its match with Tenn. Wesleyan (6-4), Carson-Newman (4-6) needed to be flawless to win its second straight match. The Eagles provided such perfection at in the third through sixth singles matches to scoot out of the Carson-Newman Tennis Complex with a 5-4 win Friday afternoon.
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Carson-Newman (3-6) travelled to King College (0-9) and brought home a 9-0 victory on Tuesday afternoon.
WINGATE, N.C. – Carson-Newman (2-6, 0-3 SAC) fell 6-3 in a closely contested match against no. 32 Wingate (8-5, 3-0 SAC) on Saturday.
SALISBURY, N.C. – The Eagle’s (2-5) took Catawba (11-4) into three third-set tiebreakers but ended up falling in heartbreaking fashion 6-3 on Friday.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman’s no. 2 doubles team of Jennifer Ott (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Haleigh Chastain (Knoxville, Tenn.) seized the lone victory in Carson-Newman’s (2-4) 8-1 loss to Anderson (6-2) Monday at the Carson-Newman Tennis Complex.
