DII Baseball keeps C-N at 15

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman baseball (32-14) stays put at No. 15 in the latest poll DII Baseball released Monday afternoon.
This is the eighth time that DII Baseball has ranked Carson-Newman in its top 25. The Eagles remain at 15 after going 2-2 this past week. Both losses were part of a series loss to #11 Catawba over the weekend.
Head coach Tom Griffin's team is 32-14 overall this season. It's C-N most wins in a season since 2008 and the fourth-most in a season in the Griffin era.
The Eagles are joined in the rankings by two South Atlantic Conference teams. Lenoir-Rhyne and Catawba remain eighth and 11th in the rankings.
Carson-Newman is one of seven Southeast region schools ranked. North Greenville has the most wins in the region with 40 and is ranked fourth. Young Harris and Francis Marion also represent Conference Carolinas in the poll at 12 and 20, respectively. North Georgia is the only ranked Peach Belt school at 13.
C-N plays its final road regular season game of the year tomorrow afternoon against Emory & Henry. First pitch from Porterfield-DeVault Field in Emory, Va. is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. A video stream will be available with a subscription to FloSports at cneagles.com/flobase.
