Swisher, Santarelli earn named to Pepsi Beach Bash All-Tournament Team
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Carson-Newman’s Carly Swisher (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Lauren Santarelli (Colorado Springs, Colo.) have been named to the Pepsi Beach Bash All-Tournament Team, held last weekend at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Swisher and Santarelli led the Lady Eagles to a 3-1 weekend. C-N beat Shepherd, Davis and Elkins, and Johnson C. Smith on the weekend. Its only loss came to Seton Hill.
Swisher hit an impressive .442 with 51 kills over the four matches. She also contributed 15 blocks. The senior outside hitter had 15 kills, five blocks, and one error to hit .500 in C-N's 3-1 won over Shepherd. She also added 14 kills and five blocks in a 3-1 win over Davis and Elkins, hitting .375.
Swisher was perfect with 12 kills and an .857 hitting percentage against Johnson C. Smith, a 3-0 C-N win. She was against a big contributor in the C-N's lone loss against Seton Hill, finishing the match with a team-high 10 kills and four blocks.
Santarelli had 21 kills in the tournament as one of the event's top outside hitters. She had a weekend-high eight kills in C-N's 3-1 win over Shepherd, hitting .333 in the match.
The true freshman showed her versatility with nine aces, eight blocks, 18 digs, and four assists on the weekend.
Carson-Newman is 12-7 on the season and has won seven of its last eight matches. It faces Lincoln Memorial on Tuesday night in Jefferson City.
