JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Women's Tennis prepares for its final homestand of the season against two vastly different opponents.
Carson-Newman (11-3, 7-1 South Atlantic Conference) hosts its biggest opponent of the season No. 6 Catawba (17-0, 9-0 SAC) who has not allowed a team to score more than two team points this season. The Catawba women are led by 12-1 Anna Wise, 10-1 Sofia Antolini, and 10-0 Ami Miya.
Mars Hill (0-13, 0-10 SAC) has not gained two team points or more in any match with only two singles wins overall coming from Shakti Mishra and Willa Gettys. The Lions are coming off a 7-0 loss to Coker and have lost nine straight contests to the Eagles.
Carson-Newman looks to continue riding the hot hand of Maria del Mar Sarda Marti (Barcelona, Spain) who is 14-0 to start her C-N career in singles.
Carson-Newman faces Catawba on Monday, April 7 at 11 a.m. from the Charles A. "Buddy" Catlett Tennis Complex in Jefferson City with Mars Hill coming to town the following day for an 11 a.m. start.
