HONORS - UNCG:

Chancelor's List (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024)

2024 (Redshirt Junior - UNCG): Sziksai appeared in 14 matches in the 2024-2025 season as a redshirt junior where she registered 23 digs in as many sets.

2023 (Redshirt Sophomore - UNCG)
Appeared in all 28 matches…Earned a career high of five service aces at ETSU on Sept. 28…Finished the season leading the Spartans with 36 service aces....Earned 29 assists on the season.

2022 (Redshirt Freshman - UNCG)
Appeared in 26 matches and 71 sets on the season…Posted a game high of two service aces on two occasions…Notched a game high of 18 digs against Queens on Sept. 6…Recorded 12 service aces and 118 digs on the season.

2021 (Freshman - UNCG): Redshirted

HIGH SCHOOL -  Sziksai played for Middle Creek High School in Cary and the NC Volleyball Academy. She finished her senior season with 261 digs and 26 service aces in 41 sets. She was ranked first in digs in the SWAC Conference (2020) and was first in service aces for South Wake 4A Girls Volleyball (Fall 2020). She was honored as a top 10 Division 4A Girls Volleyball (Fall 2020) in the dig stat leader category. and was top 30 in the state in digs as well. She was a SWAC All-Conference selection.

PERSONAL:  Her father, James, played football and both Western Carolina University and North Carolina State University and her mother, Simone, played tennis at West Virginia Wesleyan University where she was inducted into Hall of Fame with her 1997 team. Her Uncle, Andre, played baseball at Purdue University and the University of Pittsburgh. Her other Uncle, Jeff, played baseball at Western Carolina University and professionally with the Yankees. He coached baseball at Lincoln Memorial University for 17 years as well. Her grandfather Jim Sziksai, played basketball for Barrington College and her other grandfather, Ernie Williams, played football for Laurel Leopards and Johnstown Miners

Coach Collins on Sziksai: "We are excited to add Avery to our defense and passing group. She is a great at leading by example and adds a lot to our program culture. She has been training with us since the spring and has done a great job adapting to our training and systems. We are excited to see all the positive ways she will influence our season."
