Cline Leads Eagles on Day Two of NCAA DII South Regional

Despite no movement, C-N delivered an improved team round, shooting a 305 compared to a 309 in round one. The Eagles sit two strokes behind 16th place, No. 20 Palm Beach Atlantic, and three back of No. 28 Lincoln Memorial, with one round to play.
Madison Cline led C-N on day two with an impressive 71-stroke second round, resulting in a 40-spot climb, finishing the round tied for 47th at 8-over. Cline started her day with a bogey before a string of six straight pars and a birdie on hole eight, entering the back nine at even-par. She stroked eight of the nine holes on the back nine at par before a birdie to end the day, finishing the round at 1-under.
Anaelle Picot closed the round tied for 50th, carding an 80 in round two to finish the day at 9-over. Picot sandwiched seven pars between two bogeys, entering the back nine at 2-over. She carded three consecutive bogeys on the back nine and had two other holes over par, adding six strokes to her total, but she stroked four pars to end the round at 8-over.
Ida Petersen carded a 75 in round two, ending the day tied for 50th at 9-over. She started her day with five straight pars before two birdies to overcome a late bogey, entering the back nine at 1-under. She added six strokes on four holes over par on the back nine, but five pars helped limit the damage and ended her day at 5-over.
Emery Fisher is tied for 77th after round two, shooting a 77 to end the day at 12-over. Fisher carded four bogeys on the front nine but stroked five pars to make the turn at 4-over. She had three bogeys on the back nine, but two birdies and four pars helped her add just one stroke on the final nine holes, finishing the round at 5-over.
Parker Miller shot an 87 in round two, finishing the day at 15-over. Miller had five holes over par on the front nine, but a birdie and three pars helped limit the damage to make the turn at 8-over. She had seven bogeys on the back nine to add seven strokes, but mixed in two pars to end the round at 15-over.
The Eagles will conclude the NCAA DII South Regional with round three tomorrow at the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia.
