Septet of Eagles join NFF's Hampshire Honor Society
IRVING, Texas – Seven Carson-Newman football players have been granted a spot in the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society, the organization announced Wednesday.
IRVING, Texas – Seven Carson-Newman football players have been granted a spot in the National Football Foundation's Hampshire Honor Society, the organization announced Wednesday.
Carson-Newman placed defensive lineman David Alexander, linebacker Issac Bohleber, quarterback Gavin Gosnell, wide receiver Cade Meeks, quarterback Zane Whitson, tight end Zach Williams and defensive lineman Fortune Woods on the listing.
Carson-Newman has had 19 players recognized over the last three seasons.
Whitson, Bohleber and Meeks were also recognized for their prowess in the classroom with CSC Academic All-District honors.
Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must be either:
- A senior player, who will graduate this spring/summer, and just completed his final year of playing eligibility in 2025; or
- A graduated player, who has been out of high school at least (3) years; And must have:
- Attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 (4.0 scale); and
- Been starters or significant contributors (i.e. a captain) throughout the 2025 season.
