Eagles Set for Five-Match Weekend in Peach State
Riding a 14-0 start, Carson-Newman travels to Franklin Springs for a busy weekend featuring five matches in two days, including an important conference showdown.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. -- Carson-Newman beach volleyball team puts its perfect record on the line this weekend, traveling to Franklin Springs for a five-match slate that includes a pivotal conference showdown.
"We are excited to compete this weekend," said head coach Cat Collins. "We will face great competition against Colorado Mesa University, which will give us a feel for what we need to do and where we need to be before nationals. Our pairs will be pushed this weekend, and I'm confident in the way we will respond."
The Eagles, currently 14-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play, will open the weekend Friday with three matches, beginning with a conference contest against Emmanuel University at 8 a.m.
Carson-Newman continues Friday's action against Colorado Mesa at 11 a.m. in a regional matchup before closing out the day against LaGrange College at 3:30 p.m.
The Eagles return to the sand Saturday for two additional neutral-site matches, starting with LaGrange at 8 a.m. and wrapping up the weekend against Colorado Mesa at 11 a.m.
All matches will take place in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
