Eagles Split Final Day in Georgia
Finishing a busy weekend on the sand, the Carson-Newman Eagles went 1-1 on Saturday in Franklin Springs, highlighting the day with a dominant win over LaGrange College.
FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. -- Carson-Newman beach volleyball closed out its weekend in Franklin Springs with a split on Saturday, defeating LaGrange College before falling to Colorado Mesa University.
Carson-Newman opened the day with a dominant 5-0 sweep of LaGrange, controlling every court in straight sets.
Match 1: C-N 5, LaGrange 0

The Eagles wrapped up the weekend against Colorado Mesa, falling 5-0 in the final match. Despite the scoreline, several courts were competitive throughout.

"We grew this weekend," said head coach Cat Collins. "We got better. We will continue to learn so we can be the best version of ourselves."
Carson-Newman finishes the weekend with a 3-2 record across the two days.
The Eagles hit the sand again this Wednesday, March 25, in a rivalry matchup with the Tusculum University Pioneers. The match will take place in Greeneville with a start time of 4:00 p.m.
