Showler-Davis releases 2025-26 campaign for indoor track & field
The Eagles will venture to Liberty and VMI three times, including this weekend, to open up the season.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Head coach Kieran Showler-Davis unveiled the indoor track & field schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.
"I'm excited to see the team compete this indoor season," Showler-Davis said. I think we have great depth as well as quality amongst the squad."
The Eagles start their season this Thursday and Friday at the Liberty Kickoff, then wrap up the week on December 6th at the VMU Colonel Bev Read Opener.
Following the Christmas break, Carson-Newman returns to action on January 10 at the Tyron International Collegiate Opener to fully start the indoor season. Later in January, the team will return to Virginia on January 23 and 24, with some heading to the VMI Invitational and others to the Liberty Open.
As the calendar flips to February, the Eagles head to VMI for the third time for the VMI Winter Relays on the 6th. A week later, Carson-Newman will participate in three events: in Nashville at the Vanderbilt Indoor Music City Challenge, the Tryon Mid-Winter Invitational & Multi-Events in North Carolina, and the Liberty Darius Dixon from February 13-14.
The postseason begins on February 28 with the SAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, and then, looming in March, are the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
"We always plan to attend meets where we think it will be a good challenge to the athletes," Showler-Davis said. "Where it will put them in a place to compete well and progress themselves as athletes, and I believe these meets allow us to do that."
